Stephen Britt, MD, FACS

Dr. Britt is a native of Dunlap, Tennessee. He graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He graduated from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University and completed his general surgery residency at UT Chattanooga. He is a Board Certified General, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is currently serving as Chief of Surgery at Marshall County Medical Center.

Dr. Britt started with the Surgical Associates of Marshall County in 2003. He joined Dr. Groves because these surgeons shared the philosophy of providing cutting edge surgical techniques and advanced surgical care to their patients while keeping the “small town” feel to their practice. Dr. Britt has received specialized laparoscopic training in gastric banding, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and sleeve gastrectomy. He is married to Stacy and they have one child, Carter.
